The Utility CEO Forums are exclusive and intimate gatherings of C-level executives from Africa’s power sector and expert partners.

Professionally facilitated in a boardroom style, the Forums offer CEOs a unique learning opportunity to think differently about the most pressing challenges whilst exchanging ideas amongst peers. The Utility CEO Forums pave the way for transformation and deeper collaboration.

Africa (at African Utility Week), 14-16 May 2019, Cape Town, South Africa.  Hosted by Eskom, it is an unparalleled gathering of Africa’s power utility CEOs to  discuss and compare continental African utilities.  The Forum is conducted in English and French, with simultaneous translation.

Central Africa, 3-4 July 2019 at Star Land Hotel in Douala, Cameroon.  Hosted by Eneo, 6 utilities from the region discussed key success factors for PPAs, prepaid metering to increase revenue collection, ideas for greater operational efficiency, cross-border trading, governance principles and change management in the central African context. The Forum concluded with a team building workshop sponsored by ENEO. Resolutions were taken to pave the way for more regional collaboration. The detailed Post-Forum Report will soon be available.

East Africa (at Future Energy East Africa), 12-13 September 2019 at the KICC in Nairobi, Kenya.  Power utility and IPP CEOs will continue discussions on the financial viability of the sector and strategies for access for all.

Nigeria (at Future Energy Nigeria), 13-14 November 2019 at the Eko Hotel, Lagos, Nigeria.  The Forum will support Nigeria’s power leaders (including Discos, Gencos and IPPs) collaborate and focus on unique in-country challenges.

West Africa, 4-5 December 2019, Dakar, Senegal.  Hosted by Senelec, West African power utilities and IPPs will unite to address the issues most affecting the region.  The Forum is conducted in French.
